I view each session as more than just a treatment — it’s about creating a space for healing, connection and being heard.

A Short Introduction
As an acupuncturist deeply rooted in such rich personal history and profound experiences, I carry forward the invaluable wisdom passed down by my parents. My father, who faced a lack of healthcare access during the Vietnam War at a young age, developed a profound appreciation for Mother Nature and the medicinal herbs that surrounded our home.
His lessons about the importance of natural remedies and the power of observation have guided me in my own practice. They remind me that every treatment is an opportunity to honor the wisdom of the Earth. My father’s influence continues to resonate in my work, inspiring me to approach healing with the same reverence and gratitude he instilled in me.
Inspired by my mother’s journey after her stroke, I enrolled in the Oriental Medicine Program. I witnessed the transformative power of Estim-acupuncture in her recovery, and seeing her regain strength and vitality ignited my passion for this ancient practice.
I realized that acupuncture is not just a treatment but a pathway to restoration and balance. Motivated by my mother’s resilience, I have committed myself to learning and sharing the healing art of acupuncture and oriental medicine, guiding others on their paths to hope and recovery.
Each needle I place embodies my knowledge and dedication to nurturing both body and mind. I view each session as more than just a treatment — it’s about creating a space for healing, connection and being heard. I firmly believe this approach allows me to create a supportive environment where my clients can truly begin their journey to recovery and restoration.
My Education in Acupuncture
While earning my Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, I sought out clinical internships with acupuncture clinics specializing in fertility. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience with diverse modalities, including acupuncture, e-stim, cupping, moxibustion, tui na, gua sha, and herbal medicine. These experiences have not only equipped me to address a wide range of patient needs but also allowed me to create integrated, personalized treatment plans.
I also had the unique opportunity to intern at Bread for The City, where I employed acupuncture for psycho-emotional disorders, pain management and smoking cessation.
My Patients
My approach is to provide patients with a supportive environment where they feel heard and valued while enhancing their body’s natural capacity to heal and flourish. I strive to meet each patient at their current stage, creating accessible and personalized treatment plans that seamlessly integrate into daily life in a way that can be both practical and enjoyable. I aim to inspire patients to take pleasure in prioritizing their health and wellness by listening to their body’s signals, savoring nutritious foods, and making lifestyle choices that promote overall well-being and satisfaction.
My firm belief — the most magical part of acupuncture is the ability to transform , to touch the reserved source in each patient, alleviate the suffering , allowing healing and change.
I would like to specialize in…
Fertility, Psycho-Emotional disorders, neurological disorders such as post-stroke, bell-palsy, Pediatric Care and Pain Management.
My passion and training for Chinese herbal medicine . . .
Throughout my studies, I learned about the various herbs, their unique properties, and how they interact with the body’s systems. This knowledge opened my eyes to the incredible potential of nature’s remedies. I became captivated by the art of formulating herbal prescriptions tailored to individual needs, understanding that each person’s journey to health is unique.
After graduating, I applied for clinical internships at a Chinese herbal pharmacy where I gained invaluable hands-on experience with herbs. Immersing myself in this environment allowed me to apply my knowledge in real-world settings, deepening my understanding of herbal medicine.
Working closely with experienced Chinese herbalists, I learned about the intricacies of herbal formulations and how to assess individual patient needs. This practical experience helped me refine my skills in creating tailored remedies, enhancing my ability to connect with clients and support their healing journeys.
Training in Chinese herbal medicine not only equipped me with practical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. I learned to see each client as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms, allowing me to create comprehensive treatment plans that honor their specific health concerns and lifestyle.
My passion for this practice drives me to continuously seek knowledge and refine my skills, always striving to provide the best care possible. I am dedicated to sharing the transformative power of Chinese herbal medicine with others, guiding them on their own paths to healing and wellness. Each herbal remedy I prepare is a reflection of my commitment to holistic health and the wisdom of nature.
My favorite herb is…
Yi Mu Cao because of its straightforwardly translated name “Mother’s herb” or “Benefit mother herb.” It’s appropriate for all disorders relating to blood stasis, especially irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea. It’s also used as a single herb remedy for severe postpartum abdominal pain, and uterine bleeding. Besides, this herb is known for dermatological disorders.
There was a story about a Tai Ping princess in the Tang Dynasty who used Yi Mu cao as a body wash to retain beautiful, soft skin. Nowadays, its clinical application includes eczema, sores, lesions, and ulcers.
